Expert Deck construction in Scottsboro, AL

A well-built deck adds usable outdoor space and lasting value to your home. At Argo Construction, we handle deck construction for homeowners in Scottsboro, Huntsville, Guntersville, Arab, Boaz, Albertville, Grant, Fort Payne, Warrior, and Hayden. Our roots in this trade go back to the business our founder built, and the current owner learned the craft working alongside him before taking over. That hands-on background shapes how we approach every project. North Alabama's climate brings real demands for any outdoor structure. Scottsboro averages around 56 inches of rain per year, and summer heat and humidity put constant pressure on deck materials and framing connections. We plan each build with drainage, ventilation, and material performance in mind so your deck holds up through wet springs and hot Alabama summers. From site evaluation and structural planning through final installation, we handle the full process. Call us to talk through your project.

FAQ

Deck construction FAQ

Common questions about deck construction in Scottsboro, AL.

Do you build decks in Scottsboro and the surrounding area?

Yes, we build decks throughout Scottsboro and serve homeowners across Northeast Alabama, including Arab, Huntsville, Guntersville, Boaz, Albertville, Grant, Fort Payne, Warrior, and Hayden.

What makes deck construction different in the Huntsville and Scottsboro area?

North Alabama's high humidity and heavy rainfall put real stress on outdoor structures, so material selection and proper drainage planning matter from the start. A deck built without those considerations in mind tends to show wear much sooner in this climate.

Can Argo Construction handle a deck build on a sloped or uneven yard?

Yes, we evaluate site conditions including grade and drainage before planning the structure. Uneven lots are common across Northeast Alabama, and we account for them in the footing and framing layout.

Who will be working on my deck project in Scottsboro?

Argo Construction is a family-rooted business where the owner learned the trade hands-on from the ground up. You work directly with a team that takes the craft seriously.

What size or style of deck can you build for my home in Guntersville or Boaz?

We work with homeowners to plan a deck that fits their space, yard layout, and how they want to use the area. Each project is sized and designed based on your specific property.

How do I get started with a deck project through Argo Construction?

Call us to talk through your project and we will go over your site, your goals, and what makes sense for your home in Scottsboro or the surrounding area.

Michael and Argo Construction went above and beyond for us in installing board and batten vinyl in our home and painting as well. Reasonably priced, professional, with excellent communication and service throughout. We are highly impressed with everything start to finish and highly recommend them for any job you need for your home or business. Thank you!!!

Our log home had a significant amount of water damage due to a busted water pipe and 2 bedrooms, master bath, half bath and all flooring throughout the house had to be replaced and remodeled. Mr. Helms and his crew were AMAZING! They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and did an amazing job! We are throughly pleased with his work and such a trustworthy man. He even began work on our home prior to receiving any money from our insurance company, because he’s just that kind of guy. If you need any type of work done on your home, contact him. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I have used Argo on several projects. They are very knowledgeable on building of log, timber frame, and conventional building techniques. They go above and beyond to make the owners happy and get what they want in there homes. I would highly recommend them for your next building project.

Johnny and his team were wonderful! They were hardworking, personable and did a fantastic job. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome or experience with our project!
